Driving the Future of Financial Services in Mauritius

On Thursday, 6 November 2025, Afsar Ebrahim Appointed as Board Member of the Financial Services Consultative Council (FSCC).

The Council has a vital role to play as the voice and driving intellect of our Financial Services Industry, bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors.

Five sub-committees have been established in line with the Financial Services Strategy 2025–2030:

• 1. Improving the ease of doing business

  • Legal & Regulatory Affairs Working Group

  • Tax Working Group

• 2. Diversifying and modernising product offerings

• 3. Enhancing visibility and promotion

• 4. Expanding into new markets

• 5. Addressing skills and talent gaps

The FSCC will act as a think-tank and collaboration platform, ensuring government and regulators act as enablers for innovation and growth.

Together, we are strengthening the Mauritius International Financial Centre and driving economic progress.
